LISA LANDIS~ Greetings Kids Cookie Breakers! I can’t wait for the Great Pumpkin Chase this weekend at Lancaster County Central Park. The Veritas Academy Great Pumpkin Chase happens at the Lancaster County Central Park Shuts Environmental Library at 3 Nature’s Way with games, inflatables, activities, food, a “Tot Trot” for little ones and a timed one-mile fun run race to find out WHO WILL BEAT THE PUMPKIN???
Check-in, warm ups, & the course walk through starts at 9am. The Great Pumpkin Chase is at 10! There is a fee to race and food is also available for purchase. Games and other non-race activities are FREE!

Homecoming registration gets underway Saturday morning at 8:30. The Alumni Volleyball game is at 10am. Tons of fun is planned for the kids including inflatables, face painting, a photo booth, a roaming railroad, a hayride tour of the campus, food trucks and more!

The 10 O’clock Theme Party features some of the cast members of Mellinger Mennonite’s annual Children’s Musical. This year’s musical is called Survivor Babylon based on the story of Shadrach, Meshach, & Abednego. The show used catchy songs and creative humor to teach the importance of obedience to God. The show dates are September 14 at 7:30pm and September 15 at 2pm. Listen in for a show preview and lots of fun 10-11am.
YOU get to request your favorite songs between 11-12pm.

LISA LANDIS~ It’s that time of the year again…I can’t wait! KCB Fest is this weekend, Saturday, August 24th. I hope you have your ticket! I am working on putting together KCB games for the Landis Hall Junction Center stage and everyone else at WJTL is working hard to bring you tons of Free Family Fun! I will be at the Landis Hall Junction Center stage all day so stop by and say hi.
If you can’t make it to KCB Fest we will have plenty of KCB Fun on the radio. Jenn is hosting KCB 10-noon with giveaways from some of the artists appearing at KCB Fest and you get to call the studio to request your favorite song.
September 14th Look for the KCB Cookie Car stopping by the 2nd Annual Strawberry Street Festival (Mayor’s Block Party) in the 5 o’clock Hour with free giveaways. The block party will be held on West Strawberry Street in Lancaster City (between Lafayette and High Streets) from 4-7pm.
